我的瑜珈導師訓練課程之經驗(YIC)

Yoga Instructor Course YICC

我的瑜珈導師訓練課程之經驗(YIC)

Since young, I’ve always been intrigued about Hinduism and its epic stories. My dance guru also always talked about the importance of meditating and doing the Yoga asanas and just being involved spiritually. Unfortunately, as a young girl, I never really understood what exactly “being involved spiritually” really meant. I couldn’t grasp on the idea of meditating. For one, I never really could stay silent and just let my mind and senses withdraw from the external environment.

However, over the years, as I grew and entered the working life, I felt that everything was very ‘rushed’. I was as busy as ever but I never really felt settled/calm. That’s when I decided to try Yoga. So, I started going to trial classes and during my free time I find myself going to YouTube to learn more about Yoga. That’s when I decided that since I’m really interested in Yoga and I’m willing to spend time practicing and learning more about it, why not go for the course?

Union Yoga Ayurveda, Singapore (“UYA”) has definitely made this entire process an enjoyable one. Dr Satyam Tripathi and his staff at UYA (esp Ms Jia!) are extremely knowledgeable, patient, caring and most importantly, they make sure that everyone in class goes back home understanding what they have learnt that day. To me, that’s what makes a great instructor. At UYA, the school gives equal importance to performing and understanding Asanas, Kriyas, Pranayama and Meditation. As students, we are also exposed to Ayurveda practices and therapies that Dr Satyam performs on his clients and patients. He patiently explains the process of how the Ayurveda therapy combined with Yoga practices would help the patient. Moreover, Dr Satyam also encourages us to give classes to his clients so that we are able to get the adequate amount of experience. All these opportunities that I’ve received over the past 6 months is something I would not get if I were to be enrolled in other Yoga schools. Therefore, I am grateful to have been a student of Dr Satyam and UYA.

Yoga has made such a positive impact in my life. I feel happier and more settled in life now. I am able to focus better and be more efficient in my daily tasks.

Thank you Dr Satyam, Ms Jia, my fellow course mates and everyone at UYA.
It’s been such a pleasure!
